New OPS-A2 Firmware Now Live
A new firmware was released for the Promethean OPS-A2
This update includes the following improvements and new features

- Google security patches up to January 2026, helping keep the system protected with the latest Android security updates.
- Promethean ActivSuite™ is now supported on OPS-A2.
This brings the familiar menu experience used by Windows, Mac, and Chrome users to the Android platform.- The Promethean Essential Apps — Whiteboard, Timer, Spinner, Annotate, and Screen Share — are now accessible from the Promethean ActivSuite icon located in the device’s taskbar.
- These classroom essential applications have been removed from the home screen and application menu and are now accessed through ActivSuite.

- If an end user does not have an ActivSuite account, they can continue as a Guest. Once selected, Guest mode will remain active and does not need to be chosen each time.
- Compass feature added.
A Compass tool has been introduced, similar to the feature available on the ActivPanel LE. At this stage, a fade-away option is not available. - Improved HDMI functionality.
HDMI input can now be displayed in a resizable window, allowing users to continue working in other apps simultaneously. - Improved compatibility with conferencing platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
- Expanded panel compatibility.
OPS-A2 is now compatible with the ActivPanel Elements Series and ActivPanel 9 (some functionality restrictions may apply). - Wake-on-LAN (WoL) support added, allowing OPS-A2 to be powered on remotely over a network connection.
- Window mode added to the HDMI-In app, enabling more flexible display usage.
- Improved Wi-Fi performance and connection stability
