Traditionally, customers would have a dedicated large format printer for their main task. Canon’s line-up used to reflect that. You had one product for photographs, another for line drawings and so on.
One day, the developers were given an almost impossible task. Design one product that can produce stunning graphics, even on plain paper as well as line drawings at a much higher speed than the existing range (which wasn’t slow to begin with!).
And so began the journey to develop the Canon TX range of products.
