Fujitsu scanners rebranded to Ricoh

The image scanners "fi Series," "SP Series," and "ScanSnap" will be rebranded from Fujitsu to Ricoh. On September 1, 2022, the transfer of the Company's shares was finalised, and PFU Corporation advanced in its more than 60-year history by joining the Ricoh Group. This time, starting in April 2023, the Ricoh brand will also be used for the main scanner operations.

Background and Goal

Scanners are essential edge devices as an entry point for digital services as we encourage the digitisation of customers' workflows to realise the Ricoh Group's 2036 Vision of "Bringing Joy to Work." With the goal of maximising synergies between Ricoh and PFU by making the Ricoh multifunction device and printer brand monolithic, PFU will unify all scanners under the Ricoh brand. Through PFU and Ricoh's sales channels around the world, we will deepen our affinity with Ricoh's solutions, which have strengths in office services, and deliver the added value of scanners to a wide range of customers.

In the future, along with the change in the scanner brand, we will deliver new products and added value using the comprehensive strengths of the Ricoh Group, including the technological and sales capabilities.

Please look forward to the synergies between PFU and the Ricoh Group.

Eligible products and changes

All scanner products will be changed from the Fujitsu brand to the Ricoh brand. In addition, the scanner product website will change its brand logo and domain from April 2023. The model’s name, specifications, and functions have not changed; the only difference is in the silk printing on the apparatus and the logo on the packaging box as a result of the brand change.
